A Few Forgotten

Here a few left over Pets from last years Petember.  We were not able to get to them all and we are very sorry!!  Maybe we can finish them back up come this years Petember!!

Happy Birthday Corey

When we were younger, our bed times were determined by our age.  Eric the oldest got to stay up Late, where as I was allowed to stay up till about 9, and Corey the youngest had to be in bed by 8-8:30.  This drove Corey mad, because he felt that we should have been treated the same, since just being 2 years apart we did just about everything the same.  So at night, while I finished up homework, or enjoyed Americas Funniest Home Videos, Corey would be in his bedroom huffing and puffing or sneaking out of bed to peek at the television.  On one particular night, I sat at the kitchen table finishing up homework, Eric had stepped into the kitchen for a snack and Corey was in "bed."  Eric stopped and said to me, "you hear that?"  He had a funny look on his face.  And sure enough there was a constant squeaking coming from Corey's room.  It was that sound, the sound of someone doing funny business on their mattress.  Eric hurriedly waved me on down the hall to Corey's room where he flicked on the light.  Corey was lying on his back, throwing his shoulders into the mattress and flopping around.   It certainly didn't sound like he was just bouncing around on his bed.  But sure enough, he stopped, smiled that awkward grin and asked, "what?"  Eric just turned off the light and we busted out laughing.  Just a little story of my brother on his birthday, Happy Birthday Corey.

Indy - Petember

Say hello to the wonderful Shelty Indy Annie. Indy has been a beloved member of the McCool household for 11 years. Sadly, within the last week Indy went to doggy heaven. She was a very loyal and loving friend. She brought companionship and a lot of laughter to the McCool family. It was always a show when her and Abbey, the family cat, got together and romped around the house. Indy has been in our Petember files for a little while now, but we have decided it is a good time to pull her out and show her to the world. Indy will be greatly missed but we are grateful for the time we were given with her. 

Wedding invitations

This is Brendon and Natasha Mizner's wedding invitation that we created for them.  Their idea was to have a simple yet colorful fall themed invitation to match their wedding decor.  Even though we could not make it to their wedding, it was awesome to be a part of it in this little way.

A little off the beaten path of invitations, we created this program for Tricia and Riley Friesen's wedding.  But it is not only a program, this fun creation doubles as a placemat and of course, an airplane!  Sometimes the guest get a little antsy, what better way to keep them entertained!  Such an amazing wedding!

And lastly, OUR wedding invitations!  From drawing, to scanning, to sewing, to cutting, to glueing, to finger printing over 200 invitations, fair to say there was a lot to be done for our big day.  Thinking about it now, it would have been nice to have someone step in and take over this task! Kidding!  Or are we? No of course not, but seriously! 

Phoenix Art Museum

We got the opportunity to do a project for the PhxArtKids gallery at the Phoenix Art Museum. The exhibition is all about creating stories around artwork. We wrote and illustrated story prompts to help the imagination shape new narratives.  Each prompt corresponds with a grouping of art from the museums permanent collection.  Here are a few of our favorites that we created:
